Forces Support was launched in March 2010 by father and son partnership Bill and Billy McCance, with an aim to create a national network of Forces Support outlets to raise the funds needed to run the practical support project Nationally.

Chair of Trustees
Ron is an experienced leader and manager in the public and private sector. Following service in the RAF he joined the Police Service and as a senior officer in the Metropolitan Police Service he has managed challenging inner city areas. He has a worked in Corporate Risk Management for the Metropolitan Police Service and a financial market leader. He has also extensive experience of working in partnership working with minority communities delivering projects and government led initiatives.
More recently Ron has worked in the Community Safety arena and currently manages a Council in Oxfordshire.
He is a Trustee of a youth charity in Oxfordshire and a Trustee of a Family Centre in Oxfordshire which provides extensive support for military families.
Claire has 22 years experience working in local government, managing the delivery of public services including environmental health, emergency planning, waste, parking and engineering.
Claire brings a vast array of experience to the Trust in meeting customer needs, managing risk and procurement and management of contracts.
Claire is married to a serving member of the RAF and they have two young boys so she understands the challenges faced by military families.
Rob has over thirty years’ corporate experience, twenty of them as a Director operating in the technology transfer and executive search sector. As a trustee, Rob, can bring experience of the Armed Forces community both as the son of a career soldier who deployed on Operational service and as the father of a soldier who deployed in the BRF role to Afghanistan. To complete the circle, he was commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst into The Royal Highland Fusiliers, where he served for eight years as an infantry officer.
David Simpson F.B.I.I
David has over thirty five years’ experience within the hospitality industry working in both the commercial and higher education sectors. Having been employed in a customer focused environment throughout his career he has excellent customer service skills and well versed in staff recruitment, training & development as well as team building.
A long standing Fellow of the British Institute of Innkeeping with strong leadership and motivational qualities David brings a vast amount of experience to the role of a trustee.
Grace brings a wealth of experience and compassion to her role as Trustee, she is an experienced solicitor and is currently the senior partner of a local solicitors firm. Grace specialises in Wills, Trusts and care of vulnerable people, she is a professional Trustee and a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. She puts great value on client care, making her clients feel comfortable and to do her very best for them.
Grace is the wife of a retired member of the Royal Air Force and so has an excellent understanding of forces life and all that entails. Grace has also had a career as a nurse spanning some 20 years while bringing up her four sons. During her nursing career Grace was a staff nurse in Intensive Care in Belfast during the height of the troubles in Ireland where she treated victims of violence and experienced living in a combat zone.
Chief Executive Officer
Carol E Reynolds
Carol has worked alongside the previous founder and CEO, since February 2016 as Head of Finance & HR. She has over 30 years’ experience in both finance and HR. She previously worked within the higher educational sector, before setting up her own business and then joining Forces Support.
Carol is also a Town & District Councillor for West Oxfordshire District Council.
She is a Trustee of Witney Educational Foundation Charity based in Witney who provide grants to families in need, to assist with the purchase of school clothing and other essential items and towards the cost of attending educational visits.
